About Dr Cariem

Welcome! I am Dr Muhammad Shuaib Cariem, a part-time university lecturer and family doctor whose main passion is teaching and practicing the most up to date medicine to both patients, family and future doctors. I strive to be an example of compassion, educational and comprehensive in my management and personality.

I believe that family healthcare should be rooted in education with the most up-to-date guidelines used. I also believe in the power of education, that anyone has the potential to implement good health practice if given the tools, and that health care is not only for the doctor’s rooms, but a way of life that can be learnt and implemented.

I have a MBChB degree and more than five years in a trauma unit as well as five years in teaching first-, second- and third-year medical students. These experiences equipped me with a strong basis of clinical skills and the necessary communication skills to transfer the most intricate details to those who may not have a background in the medical field.

I strive to educate and treat my patient for the betterment of their health in the acute setting and the wellbeing of their future.
